Grandma Comes for Halloween

Grandma came to visit us and help us get ready for Halloween!  That first involves lots of cuddling...

And then some pumpkin carving.

Here I am drawing out what I want Mom to carve...

And here's the finished product.  Pretty artistic, right?

This is Dad's Frankenstein pumpkin, complete with neck bolts...

Mom's bumpy pumpkin (we got it from the pumpkin patch when she had the bumps)...

And Tommy's goofy pumpkin, made by Grandma.

Chewy even gets his own puppy pumpkin.

Then it's time for more cuddling before the big day.

Hooray for Grandma!

Oktoberfest 2012

We went to Oktoberfest with the Kowalewskys this weekend.  Mom was the only one willing to wear the chicken hat...

I loved watching the weiner dog races...

 And Tommy loved the pretzels.
But we all loved to dance.  Here I am with Robby and Lizzy, and here's a video of us dancing together, with Tommy Tornado running around in a circle behind us.

Here I am giving Tommy a spontaneous hug on the dancefloor...

Busting a move...

Rolling around on the floor...

Doing the polka with Mom...

And begrudgingly wearing the chicken hat.

Then it was back to our house for pizza and silliness.  Prost!

Parks and Smiles

We've been clocking in a lot of time at the park lately.  Here I am in my favorite jumping airborne pose...

And here's Tommy peeking through the tickle tube.

This is my friend Aubrey and me gooning around on the slide.

And here I am with my bug net...

Ready to catch grasshoppers in the backyard.  Look out, bugs!

Treasure Hunt from Daddy

Daddy surprised me with a treasure hunt he made for me!  Here are all the clues, but I only found them one at a time.

Here's how I did it: I read them!  I'm a reading machine these days.

I found the one under my pillow!

And here I am reading some of the clues:

Tommy helped me find the one under Chewy's bed, and then he just lay down in it for awhile, like he always does.

Another one!

That is a look of pure delight on my face for finding this treasure all on my own.

Thanks, Daddy!  You're the best!

I had to put on his Homer slippers before giving him a proper hug.

Food on a Stick at the Butterfly Garden

On Sunday we decided to grab some lunch and head to the butterfly park.  Lunch on a stick sounded like the perfect portable idea, so we got corndogs.  We couldn't be bothered to sit...

Or to take them out of our mouths while watching butterflies.
Corndog cheers, fellow butterfly hunter!
Next it was time to test our circus skills as future contortionists:

After eating and hunting, it was time for a little catch.
Chewy also got to play catch, but with his frisbee.  He also may have caught a bit too much dirt with his mouth.  Just look at his tongue!

Catch quickly turned into keep-away...

Which is perfect, because as you can see, neither of us likes being chased.

Teaching Tommy

Since I'm a good big sister, I've been teaching Tommy to do a lot of stuff, like eating raspberries off his fingers...

And fingerpainting!

He seemed pretty excited about it at first, even though Mom made him paint naked...

But as soon as he stuck his finger in the paint, all he could say was "Gross!" and then "All done!"  He may be his father's son when it comes to mess-making.
