Birthday Bonanza

We went to TWO birthday parties on Sunday!  Yes, that means 2 pieces of cake.  I was THRILLED!  The first party was for my friend from school, Will Cody's, 5th birthday at Bounce U.  Here I am, taking on the big slide with the boys....

And here's Mom joining me on the slide.

I love to bounce and slide!

Here I am with all my friends from preschool, sitting next to the birthday boy in green.  Silly face!

Then we went down to Auntie Sandra's house for Harper's second birthday.  They had a little truck that looked like Thomas the Train that would drive us around the block.

Here are Kara and I discussing the worth of these seatbelts.

Tommy was pretending to be Chewy, and kept trying to lick Mom.  I thought this was more hilarious than Mom did.

Mom said he's a stinker.

Harper also has a ride-on Thomas the Train in his house.  Lucky!

I may have been a little tired at the end.  But not as tired as Mom.

Meeting Second Cousins

We went over to Cousins Amy and Joe's house to meet their new babies, Henry and Abigail.  They are 6 weeks old now, and so little and cute!  After I finally got Mom to stop snuggling Henry, I got to hold him.  Mom and Dad said I did a very good job, and was very gentle and sweet to him.  I got to hold Abigail twice, too.  Mom forgot her camera, but luckily Amy sent her this one.  Sweet little second cousins!

SeaLife Aquarium

My friends and I took a journey to the SeaLife Aquarium outside of Legoland.  Here we all are, top to bottom:  Tommy, Henry, Lizzy, Me, Avery, Robby, Miles, and Kara.

They had these cool bubbles you could stick your head through and watch the fish swim around you.

We packed as many of us in there as we could.

They also had an exhibit called "Claws" with these HUGE Japanese spider crabs.

We liked all the fish swimming around us in this room, and had our own little impromptu dance party in there.

I got to touch a starfish, sea urchin, and sea cucumber.  OK, Mom touched the sea cucumber, it looked way too slimy for me.

Tommy gave this moray eel kisses through the glass...

And had a BLAST playing with all the Lego displays.

This view was the coolest!  We got to look down from near the top of the tank through a window, and the big leopard shark kept swimming right by us!  The picture doesn't do it justice, so here's the video:

This exhibit let us put our hands in and feel what eel skin, dolphin skin, and shark scales feel like.
Tommy liked the Lego sea turtle, and the big megalodon tooth.  Mom was too slow with the camera to get a picture of him putting the shark jaw on his head like a crown.
Fun times with a fun group!  From left: Kristine, Henry, Miles, Mom, Tommy, me, Leslie, Avery, Kara, Robby, Lizzy, Kim, and Andy

Zoo Trip

We took a family trip to the Santa Ana Zoo last weekend.  We had a lot of fun watching the silly monkeys..

And climbing on all the rails, like silly monkeys.

I told Tommy to kiss this giant frog, but it didn't turn into a prince.  Maybe he did it wrong.

I practiced my jungle cat noises at this exhibit...

And my safari skills driving this pretend jeep.

Then I decided it'd be more fun to test my real jeep driving skills.  Tommy was my wingman, and Dad was our animal spotter.

I may have stopped a little too short and thrown Tommy over the windshield, but he seemed ok.

After some turtle wrangling, we all rode the zoo train.

Choo choo!

We even went through a dark tunnel, and I held Mom's hand so she wouldn't be scared.

We posed for a picture by the caboose...

And here's a second take, where I'm not strangling Tommy.

We even got to milk this pretend cow!  Water came out of her utters when we did it right, and sometimes she would even moo!

Then it was on to the merry-go-round.  I chose a traditional pretty horse, and Tommy thought he could outrun me on his ostrich.

Twins hatched from the same egg!

Then it was time for the petting zoo.

Tommy was loving the sheep...

But I loved the goats.  I think this one loved me back, and the next one seemed to like it when Tommy twirled his ear.
Here we are feeding the goats.  I think Tommy would have fed himself to them if he could have figured out how to crawl through the fence.
