Fall Festival

We went to the Peterson Fall Festival last weekend.  My friend Sarah and I were wearing the same shirt, and didn't even plan it!
We played fun carnival games...
Watched my teacher get locked in jail (I was very worried about her)...
And I even won a brownie on this cake-walk game!

Soccer: Game 5

I've been having a ton of fun at soccer.  Here I am completing my corner kick...

Throwing the ball in...
And blocking all kinds of shots.  Mom and Dad are calling me "The Wall".
I even got to play middle so I played defense AND offense.  Fun!

A New Park

Tommy and Mommy found a new, fun park.  It's a bit of a hike, but it had cool stuff like this giant chess set...

Cool tunnels, a hugs treehouse...
Cool play equipment...
Big bouncy balls to roll around...
And a ropes course.  No wonder Tommy fell asleep on the way home!

Safety First!

While helping Dad build a new shelf for Tommy's room, I decided I needed a helmet and shield in addition to my protective eyewear.  Safety first!

Halloween Preview

We went to a pre-Halloween party at the YMCA and got to try out our new outfits.  Say hello to Toothless the dragon and his dragon rider, Hiccup the Viking!  So fun!

Fun with Misty

Our godmother Misty came over to visit on Friday.  We love her!  We had her read our favorite book, "The Book with No Pictures", to us...
And had tons of fun goofing around with her.

I Am a Defense Machine!

I have been a shot-blocking machine in soccer.

Nothing gets by me!

Tommy Speaks Wookie

Tommy's been spending a lot of time reading and listening to this book.  Maybe too much time.  We discovered in the car the other day that he could name the number button pushed just by hearing the wookie "words".

Then Mom tested him again at home, and even though he was a little distracted, he still knew all of them.  Speaking Wookie is a valuable skill, right?

Darth Dogius

We draped this blanket over Chewy and told Dad he looked like the Emperor from Star Wars.  Dad renamed him Darth Dogius.  Good boy, Chewy, may the force be with you!

JPL Open House

We went to the annual Jet Propulsion Labs open house this weekend.  The Mars Rover was super cool, but we were super hot.  This infrared image doesn't even show how hot, because it was about 100 outside.

Even though it was hot and super crowded we still had some fun.  Tommy pretended to be a cyclops on Mars, and I joined him.

We took some more space pictures, and checked out the microrobotics lab.

Then we got to have the Mars rover roll over our backs.  Fun!  Thanks, JPL!

Home Depot and Firetrucks

We had a good time building fire trucks at a Home Depot kids' build.
And had an even better time when an actual firetruck showed up and the firemen let us climb aboard!

We also got this special star pin for completing our 10th build.  Now that we're pros, maybe we'll expand on our couch forts.

Bowers Kidseum

Last weekend we went to the Bowers Kidseum.  They have lots of fun stuff to play with, and this cool green screen simulator where you fly around the world.

That's what looks like a disembodied Tommy head, but really he's just wearing a green shirt.

They have a glow cave you can do glowing art in...

And different cultural costumes you can wear.  Mom suited up before her virtual world tour with Tommy, and he hammed it up in true Tommy style.

We also got to make our own parasols there.  I colored mine with lots of different stuff, like dresses, smiley faces, and DNA.  Tommy made Godzilla monsters on his (with a little help from Mom).  Who doesn't need a Godzilla parasol?

Did I mention I got my face painted there too?  No one was surprised that I picked a cheetah print.

We Won!

We won our second soccer game!

I had some great kicks...
Tommy did lots of cheering...
And Mom's now calling me "The Cannon" because of the power I put behind my defense kicks.
Winning is fun!
And so is gooning around with your brother.
