Valentine's Day Weekend

Our Valentine's Day included a picnic at butterfly park...

Complete with a cool caterpillar sighting!

This fuzzy caterpillar panted a lot...

And had fun following us around.

The next day we took on the mini golf course.

Tommy's still working on his golf clap.

A Visit from Great Auntie Jennifer

Our Great Auntie Jennifer came out for a visit.  We read to her, played Uno with her, went to dinner, and took her to some fun places.  While I was at school (and jealous) Tommy and Mommy took her to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.

Their favorites were the penguins...
And the seals...
And sea lions.

They also had fun feeding the lorikeets.

Tommy fed one first...

Then was very delighted when it climbed on his arm.

Future zookeeper!

Then it was on to shark watching...

And squid riding (sort of).

Auntie Jennifer even came to watch me in karate.  Thanks for coming to visit, we love you and had so much fun!

Karate Kid

Today I earned my black stripe on my white belt in karate!  This means I am on my way to becoming a yellow belt, and I did my first kata (forms or positions) really well with a guide.  Once I can do them myself, look out yellow belts!  As you can see, I was very VERY excited to earn it.

Open House

The whole family came to open house night at my school.  They got to see all my cool writing and artwork, and our community project, shown here.  I built the post office!

Dog Beach

Mommy and Chewy took a walk to the beach while we were at school the other day.  It was a beautiful day, and they had a nice relaxing walk...

Until Chewy went crazy.

Fun with New Friends

I went to my friend Sam's play, Mulan, this weekend and had so much fun!  She did a great job, and now I've decided acting may be my calling too.

The next day we went to her brother Colton's birthday party.  Colton is 2 months younger than Tommy and they are very good friends...

And good bouncing buddies.

There was so much bouncing that this was the only picture Mom could get of the 2 of them where you can see both their faces.

She had to hold Tommy down to get this one.
