Kailee's Birthday Party

It was Tommy's good buddy Kailee's birthday last weekend, and he got to go to her party...
And be silly with her.
He thinks she's fun to bug, and she cracks him up all the time.

Tommy's so glad they're friends.  After she blew out the candles on her cake, her mom asked her if she made a wish, and she said, "Yes. I wished that Tommy and me could be best friends forever." Awww.

Super Reader Award

Mom and Tommy came to our first Spirit Assembly to watch me get the Super Dolphin Reader award.  Only one kid from each class gets it, and I have the most AR (accelerated reader) points.  Yay!  I shook Dr. P, our principal's, hand, and then my teacher Mrs. Crain congratulated me.

Tommy was so excited for me that he tried to climb up on stage to give me a hug.  So embarrassing!

But I forgave him and let him sit on my lap for the rest of the assembly.
Yay, me!

Trick-Or-Treating

Hiccup and Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon" are ready to trick-or-treat!
And so are their Viking parents.

We had fun trick-or-treating with Kayla and her mom, and brought them to a kid-friendly event at a local brewery so the adults could do a little trick-or-treating of their own.
We had a snack there and played some games, and then Dad tickled us the whole way home.  Silly Daddy!

Chewy got to come trick-or-treating with us too, even though he didn't appear to be wearing a costume.  I told some people that he was a cheetah, since his hair is so short you can see all the old-puppy spots on his skin.

Tommy decided he wanted to go home and hand out candy with Nana half way through the neighborhood, but Kayla and I weren't done yet!
As you can see, he still got plenty of candy (so did I) and also got it all organized.  Mom and Dad were proud of our Type A skills.  Happy Halloween!

School Pictures

2nd Grade , Age 7
Preschool, Age 4

OC Zoo

We went and checked out the OC Zoo after going to the pumpkin patch.  They had Halloween decorations up everywhere, and showed videos of the animals digging food out of jack-o-lanterns.  It was so funny!  But not as funny as the goats.

We discovered that they wiggle their tails when you brush them.

Pumpkin Carving

Time for pumpkin carving!  This picture was the only time Tommy stuck his hand in to clean them out.  I got brave this year and helped clean, but I required a latex glove to do it.

We thought the pumpkins looked so cool lit up that we set up a viewing station so we could look at them while we traded Pokemon cards.

Halloween Party

Auntie Kimmy as Zuul from "Ghostbusters"...
Stacy and Peter as Gru and a minion from "Despicable Me"...
Kristine and Dustin as Sally and Jack from "Nightmare Before Christmas"...
And Uncle Kevin as Captain Chaos from "Cannonball Run".
And Danielle as Cinderella.
They think they had more fun than us.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Irvine Park pumpkin patch to get in the Halloween sprit.  We rode the train, and got these cute little toy spiders for entering a coloring contest.
Then it was time for silly pictures.  I could mostly reach this cut-out...
But Tommy's spider had to sub in for him.

Silly witch and cute kitty...
And Mom as a panting werewolf.  Do you like the spider on my head?
I'm a solid 4 feet now, and Tommy's not far behind.

We had lots of fun in the hay maze...
And played a few carnival games...
And won these cute little monkeys!
After a little cookie decorating...
We had fully conquered the pumpkin patch.  Bring on Halloween!
