Legoland

We had so much fun at Legoland with Robby and Lizzy (and Jestro from the NEXO knights)!
We splashed in the water park...
Rode the slides...
And posed with tons of cool Lego stuff.

We also had our own private kiddo car on the Coastersaurus!

Tommy was so excited that he actually lost a tooth waiting in line for the Ninjago ride!
We got to choose a small present from the gift store. I got a Lego skatepark set, and Tommy chose this mace and shield from NEXO Knights.
Take that, Book of Monsters!
It was fun hanging with our Friends, Lego and non-Lego.

In the parking lot on the way off Tommy was doing all kinds of fighting poses, then said, "Now all I need is a suit of armor!" He then started yelling to anyone nearby, "Does anyone know where an armory is? Anyone?!? How about a blacksmith?"  This kid.

Shrek: The Musical

Our friend Sam was young Fiona in Orange County Children's Theater production of "Shrek". She was great! And Colton was a mini-Shrek in a song and dance number. So fun to cheer for them!

Lemonade Stand

Lemonade, chocolate chip cookies, and hand made bracelets for sale!

Adventure Playground

This was our first time at Adventure Playground. It's pretty fun!  You can push yourself around on these rafts...

And they even let you build things! You can hammer any piece of wood onto any one of these little tree forts, and if you're 8 you can even use a saw! Mom was very relieved that we went there BEFORE my birthday.

There was a rope bridge...
And a crazy mud slide!

I went a bunch of times, but once was enough for Tommy. He got out and said, "Blech! I am NEVER doing that again!" We'll see what he says next summer.

Harry Potter 8th Birthday Party

I'm 8! I was so excited for my Harry Potter birthday party!

Mom made wands out of chopsticks and each wizard got to choose one.

There were Harry Potter Mad Libs, Hedwig the owl balloons...
And a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean taste test.  This was a big hit, and we kept a garbage can nearby so everyone could spit out the gross ones.

Mom made a Marauder's Map with our house as Hogwart's castle, and a scavenger hunt to go with it.
Everyone got pretty into the scavenger hunt, and at the end of it you made a "potion" with all the ingredients you collected, and that gave you a chocolate coin!
There was a sorting game to determine which Hogwart's house you were in...

And a Prisoner of Azakaban photo booth.
And a fun Harry Potter cake.

Dad had fun attempting to run through the barrier at platform 9 3/4 with his "half pint" of beer.
And Nana made us cool Harry Potter sweatshirts. Being 8 is awesome!
