School Thanksgiving Feasts

My class had a Thanksgiving brunch today, and we also packed up donations for Robyne's Nest, a local charity that provides food  to the homeless high school students in Huntington Beach so that they can concentrate more on learning and worry less about where their next meal is coming from.
Tommy's class sang a few songs about being thankful...
OK, Tommy mouthed the words, but I guess it still counts.
Afterward they had a Thanksgiving feast and picnic on the lawn.
They got to choose what their Native American name might be. Most kids chose things like "Girl Who Loves Math" or "Boy Who Hits Baseball". Tommy's says "Boy Who is Stinky". At least he's honest.
And goofy. These three!

Kailee's Birthday

My good buddy Kailee had her 7th birthday party last weekend. No way would Tommy miss that!
Lots of fun with his friends at the trampoline park!

Chewy Is a Fuzzy Old Dog

Chewy has been a big, furry, lazy beast lately.
But he's still very snuggly.
And even Tommy has been interested in getting a few Chewy kisses lately. But mostly on his feet.

OC Museum of Art Field Trip

Our class took a field trip to the Orange County Museum of Modern Art and I let Mom tag along...
But only if she promised not to embarrass me.

A docent showed us around and we saw some cool pieces, like this one by Sterling Rubi called "Fait Accompli".
Mom and I both liked this one that played with light and sculpture, "Untitled #2220" by Robert Irwin

At the end I got free passes, so now I can bring the whole family back!

El Morro Trail

We had fun on a hike in Laguna with friends today.
We did a scavenger hunt, were good hikers...
Bradley, Jackson, Kion, Tommy, Kat
And found a lot of time for gooning around.

Halloween 2017

Happy Halloween from BatDog and the villains!

The Joker
Harley Quinn
Two-Face
Poison Ivy
And BatDog
We had fun showing off our costumes at the neighbor's potluck...

And trick or treating around the neighborhood.
BatDog protected our house and our candy. Good boy, Chewy!

Pumpkin Carving

Our neighbors had a fun pumpkin carving party last weekend.
We had fun eating sweets, bouncing on the trampoline, and telling Mom and Dad how we wanted our pumpkins carved. We're so helpful.
But they turned out pretty good!
Dad's: Stem for a nose, Mom's: Scary, Tommy's: Bat Signal, Kat's: Ghost Emoji

Pajama Day

Tommy won two coupons in his class, one for meeting his AR goal and one for having the most points in his class for being a good student and having good behavior. We were proud of him, and he was VERY excited!
One coupon was for extra computer time at school, but he was most excited about the pajama day coupon. He couldn't wait to show off his Groot and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pajamas.
