Cheese Paper
Dad caught Tommy licking the cheese paper from his grilled cheese sandwich. Mom said her work as a parent is done.

My Own Joke
Mom's been putting a joke in my lunch box every day, and the other day I came up with my own joke and told it to Dad.
What kind of pants does a dog wear? Quadru-pants!
Tommy's First Day of Preschool
Tommy had his first day of preschool yesterday, and he loved it!
I think it helped that he used to come with to pick me up and drop me off there. No tears the whole time!
The teacher said he was "happy and active", and that he had a lot of fun playing outside and doing their wet paper craft. He ate all his lunch (no surprise there), and told Mom his favorite parts were the toys and the milk. Good Boodle!

Butterfly Celebration
I had a fun Sunday! We went to lunch and then played at the park...
Then while Tommy took a nap, I got to go to a butterfly celebration at the Gibbs butterfly park. I helped with a puppet show...
And my friend Isabella came to meet me!
I got to go in the butterfly tent. This monarch landed on Mom's hand, which was pretty cool...
Then she put it on my chest. Not cool.
But we did like looking at the butterflies in different stages of metamorphosis.
See the caterpillar attached to the top, and the green chrysalis hanging down, and all the hatched ones too? So cool!
We had a fun time.
I got a balloon...
Had my face painted like a butterfly...
And made a tissue paper butterfly. Good times!

Gooooooaaaalllllll!
I scored my first goal ever in our game yesterday! It was so fun!
I spent most of the rest of the game skipping around in the background.
After the game Tommy took a nap, and I needed a little down time too. So I took off my uniform and played some computer games in my undies.
That night we went out to dinner...
For a fun family date.
Afterward we went over to a free outdoor Pops concert. They played Disney tunes, and some patriotic music too. We loved it, and listened intently when we weren't dancing.
Afterward we got to meet some of the people in the orchestra. The man who played the euphonium let us press the valves to change the notes while he blew into it. Then the people in the percussion section let us play the chimes, wood blocks, cowbell, maracas, bells, and timpani! I can't wait to join a band!

Tommy Playing Up His Cuteness
Mom and Dad love it when Tommy sits like this with his face in his hands and reads. He also does it while he watches TV and plays on the iPad. He likes to show off his full cuteness whenever possible, especially now that the terrible twos have officially set in. His cuteness may be the only thing keeping him from an eternal time out.
Couch Cushion Fort
Then I decided to make it into a hair salon for Scout and Violet. I even made them goody bags with treats in them when they were done because they were so good and held so still.

First Soccer Game
Kate, Kali, Beatrix, Ashlyn, Natalie, Kya |
My soccer team, the Red Rabbits, had our first game last weekend. Don't we look tough in our uniforms next to our bunny banner?
I'm #4, and you can see me going after the ball like a good little soccer star in these pictures.
However, this picture may be a more accurate representation of the first half of the game. That's me on the left. I had my first sleep over the night before this game, so I was dragging...
And having a lot of fun socializing with my friend Natalie...
And with my good buddy Kya. We were both playing defense, so it was ok for us to be standing around here guarding the goal.
But there may have been a fair amount of giggling going on too. |
I even got to throw the ball in when the other team kicked it out of bounds.
All in all, we had a ton of fun, and even though we don't technically keep score at this age, I saw us kick the ball in the other team's goal 3 times, and they only got past Kya and me once. Go Rabbits!

Princess Party Sleepover
We went to my friend Sarina's birthday party on Friday. We hit a piñata...
And filled up our goody bags with all the candy inside.
Even salt water taffy, my new favorite!
I talked with my preschool friends about our new kindergarten classes...
And had some birthday cake.
Tommy had fun too, because almost all the girls have little brothers his age. We call them "The Little Brother Brigade".
It was fun to be silly with my friend Sophia...
And then once I was all sugared up, Mom, Dad, and Tommy went home so I could have my first ever sleepover without them.
Sarina's Mom got us all matching princess pajamas. That's me on the top left, next to Sarina and Sophia.
And we got our hair done princess-style. I wanted mine to look like Cinderella.
After that we had snacks and stayed up watching "The Little Mermaid". We had so much fun!
My first sleepover was a total success! When Mom came to pick me up, I hid because I didn't want the fun to end. I also didn't want to take off my new PJs, so this is what I wore home.
