Cousins Beach Day
We took Quinne and Sloane to the beach and did some serious shell hunting.
We're good little buddies.
We buried Tommy in the sand so he couldn't follow us (kidding).
We all had fun playing in the waves.
I was having such a great time that I had to be torn away from the waves.
And Tommy wore his sunglasses home so no one would know he was sleeping. Too bad his snoring gave him away.
Cousins!

New Poem
On the way home from school last week I found a penny. Mom taught me the usual, "find a penny, pick it up..." rhyme a while ago, but I made up a new one:
Find a Penny by Kate Kingman, I am 5
Found a penny,
It's all mine.
I wonder if it's worth a dime.
Find a Penny by Kate Kingman, I am 5
Found a penny,
It's all mine.
I wonder if it's worth a dime.

Legomaniacs!
Even though we haven't seen the Lego movie yet, we've still had fun creating our own versions of characters and sets from it. Here's my version of UniKitty...
And Cloud Cuckoo Land.
And Tommy's version of MetalBeard. Everything is awesome!
Fun with Friends
While Chewy's been guarding our house during our little ongoing construction projects...
We've been having fun playing with Kayla...
Mommy and Daddy's friends...
Friends at the Little Gym...
My friend Natalie in our backyard...
And lunching with my friends at school.

First Private Swim Lesson
Mom and Dad are trying to get us ready for summer, so we each had our own private swim lessons for the first time on Thursday.
I had to get my game face on at first and check the place out...
But this was the face I brought in the pool with me.
Tommy brought his smile too.
We liked our instructors, and they even gave me goggles and a swim cap so I'd be more comfortable going under water.
They taught me how to dive in face first...
And taught us how to float.
But the slide at the end may have been our favorite part. Here are some video highlights of all our fun:
As you can see, we both smiled the whole time.
After burning off all those calories we had to put a bunch back in. We can't wait for next week's lesson!
Pi Day
Mom was telling me how to figure out how big around a circle is the other day, and said we needed to use the number pi (Ï€), which she said goes on forever without repeating.
Since its first three numbers are 3.14, March 14 was Pi Day (3/14, get it?). So we made pi bracelets together to celebrate, where each number stood for a color. Now we have matching pi-patterned bracelets, and I'm a little closer to being as nerdy as Mom.
By the way, I told my teacher it was pi day and explained it to her, and she looked at me like I was crazy. :)

After's Ice Cream
There's been a lot of talk about a new ice cream place called After's around here...
And this is why: the milky bun. It's a warm donut filled with your choice of ice cream. Mom chose rocky road. Mmmmmm....
We only wanted a cone. Tommy wanted his in a cup too. Then he had the brilliant idea of biting off the end and spooning the ice cream out through there. I quickly followed suit.
Then the sugar (and the craziness) kicked in, and we giggled for about 10 minutes straight.
This did not help Tommy to become less messy, but it did help us have a great time!
