Beach Day

Sometimes you need a Wednesday beach day.

Some frolicking in the waves...

A silly brother...

And a sandcastle with a moat and a dungeon. 

Chewy is a Big, Silly Beast

In Chewy's older years he's become increasingly angrier at things outside the house...

Louder in his vocalizing, stretching, growling, rolling, and even sleeping.  

He is a big, silly beast. 

Soccer

It was a little chilly at my last soccer game, so Daddy and Tommy did some snuggling to keep warm...

And read Tommy's homemade Monster Manual.  Did I mention he's now obsessed with Dungeons & Dragons? Yup. 

I got to play middle and defense this game...

And in the last quarter coach Craig put me in as goalie.

I love playing goalie!

And I blocked a few shots, too!

We didn't win, but we didn't care because we had a pizza party after. 

We're some silly dragons!

Zoo Day

Yesterday Tommy had the day off from school because of conferences, so he and Mom took his stuffed monkey, King, to he zoo.

They had fun seeing the monkeys, ocelots, sloths, and giant anteaters...

And being goofballs.

King got to see all Tommy's favorite spots, like the giant eggs...

And the safari play park.  

Dungeons and Dragons

In Tommy's constant conquest to learn about new monsters, Dad mentioned some monsters from Dungeons and Dragons, which he used to play as a kid.  We were instantly interested, so it was off to the comic store to buy some 12 sided dice. 

Daddy helped us create our characters...

And then developed a maze for us and taught us to play.  We loved it!

Tommy's constructing his own monster manual, and won't stop talking about it.  Yesterday he was dungeon master and developed a maze and story for Mom and me.  It's so cool!  Right, Mom?

Ice Skating

My friend Kayla brought Tommy and me as guests at her ice skating lessons last week. 

It was our first time on skates, which is why we're gripping the wall.

Tommy decided it wasn't for him, so he hung out with Mom, watching and gooning around in her scarf.

But I was ready to learn!

I did a pretty good job...

And got a little help from my friends.

I was glad I did it, but I don't think it's for me.  

That is, until we saw the hockey scrimmage afterwards.  It was the highlight of the day for us!  Well, that and the zamboni. 

Who's the Stinker?

Mom thought Chewy and I looked extra cute this morning. 

Tommy wanted to get in on the fun, but said Chewy was too stinky to smile.  

From the look on Chewy's face, I'd say he thinks Tommy's the stinker.

Valentina Tereshkova

We had a presentation at school where we got to dress up as someone famous and "come to life" in our class' wax museum.  I was very excited to be Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space.  

Mom, Dad, and Tommy came to watch me, along with the rest of the 2nd grade and some other classes too!

Then someone would come push our button...

 And we would come to life! It was really fun.

Sleepover and Fun

While Mom and Dad went to a play with Auntie Kristine and Dustin...

Miles, Henry, Tommy, and I were having fun with a sitter and playing Harry Potter!  When our parents got home we got to have milk shakes and watch the first Harry Potter movie, and then they stayed for a sleepover!

The next day was Mom and Dad's 12th anniversary.  We celebrated by going to have dinner by the beach, and dessert at Dairy Queen.
