Auntie Misty

We had fun having Auntie Misty stay with us for a few days. We played Monopoly and mancala...

And spent some time at the beach (and getting ice cream). 

Eclipse

We didn't get eclipse glasses in time, and didn't think we'd get to see anything anyway since it was so cloudy. But just in time the clouds parted and Mom made a pinhole projector so we could check it out. If you look really close in the picture at the paper on the ground you can see the little crescent of the shadow of the moon. So cool!

Beach Day with Buddies

Sam, Brady, and Colton are too  much fun!

Victoria Beach

We've been doing some exploring this summer, and found a cool new place: Victoria Beach in Laguna!  It has a little sea wall that the waves crash over...

And lots of cool tide pooling! Here's our friend Nikko the crab catcher.

The waves would crash between the rocks while we were looking through the tide pools. So pretty!

There's also this cool tower. It used to be a stairway for the people in the house on the cliff above to get down to the beach. Now it's closed, but it's still really pretty and has a cool door too. 

Aliso Creek Fairy Trail

We heard about a trail in Laguna Niguel that had little fairy houses all along it, and it was true!

We saw about 20 little houses like these!

And we got a nice hike and a view of the ocean too.

Daddy's 45th Birthday

While we had a sleepover at our friends' house, Dad had a 45th birthday party at our house.

 They had someone bring in some food...

So they could hang out with their friends. 

 They had a fun time...

 Maybe a little too much fun.

 But they said it was worth it!

Daddy's Birthday Dinner

Daddy got home from work a little early on his birthday, so we took him out to dinner somewhere new, King's Fish House!

They have yummy food and allow silliness. 

Daddy got a birthday creme brulee...

And we got to meet a real live lobster.

He even waved hello to me!

Inside the Outdoors Camp

We had a fun time at nature camp last week. It was Tommy's 1st year, and my 4th. On the last day he was telling Mom a story and said, "When I come back next year...", so I guess we'll both be back again!

Pool Time

We love swimming! We've had swim lessons, been to swim birthday parties...

And even got this awesome new floatie to fight over!

Biking to Dinner

Now that Tommy doesn't need his training wheels anymore we decided to bike down to dinner at Mod Pizza. 

It was no problem, and awesome going downhill all the way home.

OC Fair 2017

We went to the OC Fair with May and Linh this year. We rode about 50 rides!

We played carnival games and all won what we thought was a stuffed platypus, but says "small duck" on the label. We still call them platypuses. Platypi? 

This one you rode as if you're flying like Superman!

I'm definitely bad to the bone.

We had so much fun...

And more than a few laughs.
