The Condiment King

We've been watching a lot of "Batman: The Animated Series" lately, so Tommy came downstairs like this the other morning. 

Yes, those are his underwear over his pajama bottoms. He said that's how the villain "The Condiment King" wears them. I'm not sure how menacing he looks, but we all got a good laugh out of it. 

Chuck E Cheese Summer Reward

We FINALLY finished our reading/math/writing challenge that Mom made for the summer after the first week of school, and Mom and Dad decided that still counted, so we got to go to Chuck E Cheese!

We love it when our hard work pays off, especially in the form of video games and candy. 

September Visit from Grandma!

Grandma came to visit before they sell their house in Arizona and head back to Fargo and Minnesota full time! We had fun goofing around with her...

While Mom and Dad had too much fun at Oktoberfest. 

She came to both our soccer games...

And we took her out for dinner.

Thanks for coming, Grandma!!! We all love you to pieces!

Fall Soccer Start 2017

It's soccer season! I'm on a new team this year, The Warriors, with a new coach and all new girls. I'm making friends, but it's nice to see a familiar face across the field, and Emily and I can't wait to play each other!

Tommy is also already bonding with his goofy team, the Golden Cobras.

Tommy got a few kicks in the first game...

And found out that he likes sliced oranges. Victory!

I played a lot of defense my first and second games, which is my favorite position. 

But my coach has been putting me on offense some too, which I'm learning to like. Mom and Dad say this will be a "growth year" for me.

For Tommy, that remains to be seen.

 And even though he and Kailee aren't in class together, they are still excited to play on the playground.

And if the first day of school wasn't exciting enough, during lunch Tommy lost a tooth! Yup, another one!  Mom told him it's a sign of good luck. We're going to have a great school year!

Last Day of Summer

What do you do on the last day of summer? Play Wild Kratts...

 And go to the beach!

School better be ready for us!

Big Buddy

Even though Tommy is pretty fun to snuggle, I decided to spend my birthday money on...

This giant teddy bear from Costco!

As if there weren't enough stuffed animals on my bed already, according to Mom. But I think it's PERFECT!  Welcome to the family, Big Buddy!

Art Camp

I had fun at art camp with my buddies Emily and Tiana. We did weaving, tie die, paper mache, and some sewing. I made all the craft things on the table, including the shirt I'm wearing!

On the last day we went to the park and out for frozen yogurt with my buddies. 

La Jolla Sea Cave

On our last day we went to visit the sea lions in La Jolla. 

They weren't in the Children's Pool cove like usual, but were goofing off on some of the rocks here...

And in the sea caves. We went through the Cave Store down 145 steps in the Sunny Jim sea cave. See the sea lion sunning itself on top of the rock at the entrance? 

Then there were a few other ones playing around in the water and barking so it would echo throughout the cave. Silly sea lions!

After a hike back up, we were ready to head home!

Coronado

After playing at the cool new downtown park...

We took the ferry over to Coronado Island. 

Mom and Dad wanted to revisit the Hotel del Coronado...

And the spot where they got engaged. 

They thought it was a lot cooler than we did, but at least we got ice cream, and then ended with a yummy dinner at the Coronado Brewing Company.
