First Webelos Pack Meeting

It's official, I am a Cub Scout, and mom is my Den Leader! Twinning!

We were all so excited for our first Pack meeting!

Phoebe, Olivia, Tiana, Kade, May, Kat, Kira

We watched Tommy's den receive their last required Tiger Scout adventure loop...

Then each individually recited the Scout Oath and Law to receive our Bobcat rank and badge. We also got a pin for the first Webelos adventure that we completed. 

On to the next challenge!

The family that Scouts together, stays together, right?

Or at least stays silly. 

Tiger Scouts Hike

We completed Tommy's last Tiger Scout adventure on our own: a nature hike and visit to the Back Bay nature center in Newport Beach.

We had to pack and carry our own backpacks...

And identify different types of wildlife we saw there. See the lizard?

We also saw an egret...

And this cool Harlequin bug.

And they even had a leopard shark in the aquarium inside the nature center!

We climbed up a big hill to get a view of the wetlands and estuaries.

And had a fun family hike! Mission: complete!

Scouts Obstacle Course

Scout meetings have been super fun! We like playing goofy team building games against each other...

And really let out imaginations go putting together this obstacle course. It had "fire" you had to jump over...

A "laser maze" made from rope...

Stuff to climb through and across...

And a stomp rocket at the end to mark when you were done.

We had fun teaching it to our little siblings and our friend, Emily. On to the next adventure!

Date Night

Mom and Dad had a date night last weekend, but I'm convinced we had more fun.

Misty took us to Ruby's at the end of the pier, and even let us have milkshakes. 

She's the best!

Mother's Day 2018

We always give Mom a picture for the frame by her bed every Mother's Day. This year we decided to involve Chewy too. Mom laughed until she had tears in her eyes. Good boy, Chewy!

Scout-O-Rama

There was a big council Scout event last weekend....

And it was the first time I got to wear my full uniform!

Dad and I were both VERY excited!

They had tons of booths and adventures for us to try there. Tommy rode this modified skateboard down a ramp...

We deciphered clues to unlock boxes and win prizes, just like in an escape room!

I got to goof around with my buddy and fellow Scout, May.

Tommy built and raced a lego car...

And we both crossed rope bridges.

Then it was time to shoot stuff!  With a slingshot...

Or a nerf gun...

Or a bigger slingshot...

Or a bow and arrow!
