Still going strong with Scouts! Kat had Troop Leader Training...
She is the Troop Instructor this term.
Tommy had his bridging ceremony with his whole pack. Next year will be his last year as a cub scout!
They made 2 liter bottle rockets, filled them with water, and launched them with bicycle pumps. It was pretty cool! But the best part was watching his friend Remy chug her whole 2 liter of Fanta before she could make the rocket. Ha!
Tommy and some other Scouts were asked to do the flag ceremony for the 5th grade promotion at Peterson.

This kid is done with piano for the summer, and apparently feels pretty happy about it.
His last recital was pretty low-key and over Zoom, so we had a little fun with his screen name.
He played "The Storm". Mom started recording late because she had to shoo Gizmo out of the room. He picked that moment to start barking and chasing his tail.
This dog, sleeping with his toy unicorn in his "arms", is one year old.
He's very helpful when Mom's trying to work or do the laundry...
But is a very cute little beast.
Happy first birthday, Gizmo!
For his birthday he went to the park to run around with his friends...
Kat wore her Gizmo earrings to celebrate...
And he wore himself out wrestling with and chewing on the other puppies.
When he got back from the park his friend Sadie came over. He always gets confused when she rolls around on the grass in our backyard (which is always the first thing she does when she gets here).
Kat baked a dog-friendly cake with pumpkin and applesauce...
And Gizmo was VERY excited about it.
So was Sadie.
Yum!
He's a good snuggly puppy.
Here's Gizmo running with his friend Dusty and opening his presents:
The owner of one of his sisters made this cute little birthday card for all the pups! We're trying to organize a big puppy playdate for all of them.
This weekend we went to an Eagle Court of Honor for Diesel, one of the scouts in Kat's troop. He asked her to participate in the parade of ranks, and she read for Star.
Here are all the girls in attendance with their Scoutmaster (and Diesel's mom) Jodie
L to R: Kat, Majesta, Falyn, Phoebe, Emily, Ally, Olivia, Jodie, Paula, Kira, Kailani, Tiana
And here are all the girls with Diesel. They all just love him. He has been an amazing mentor to all of them, so welcoming, a great teacher, and amazing role model. We're so proud of him and will miss seeing him at Troop meetings, on the hiking trail, and at campouts. Way to go, Diesel!
