To get ready for competition at Camporee in 2 weeks, my Scout Troop went on a scout skills camping trip last weekend (that's me in the hat, second from the right).
The first night I got to build the fire we roasted s'mores on...
And then reaped the benefits.
The next morning we went on a hike...
A 5 mile hike!
Did I mention Dad came too? He got there Saturday morning in time for the hike.
And hung out with all the parents while we got our stuff done.
Meanwhile, Mom took Tommy to his favorite restaurant, Fresca's.
They also went to the park, where he insisted on sitting in the baby swing.
And he burned off excess energy in the living room.
I was busy setting up tents...
Working on lashings...
And knots...
And goofing around with my friends.
Did I mention we stopped at In-N-Out on the way home? Best way to end a great trip!
