Kat did a phenomenal job in Middle School! At awards night she was recognized for the President's Academic Excellence Award for her state testing performance, for being on the distinguished honor roll all 3 years (3.8+ GPA), and for having a perfect 4.0 GPA all 3 years. Way to go, Pumpkin!
She even got a medal for the perfect 4.0 GPA. I'm sure she'll wear it everywhere.
Tommy was less than thrilled to be at the event, but had fun lounging on the lawn with his buddy Bradley.
Go, Kat!
Her friends did a great job too. They're a great group!

When you get straight A's you get to choose where you want to go to dinner and order your own dessert (no sharing necessary). Tommy chose Shin Sen Gumi for some Japanese BBQ (here he is holding his favorite, beef tongue)...
And chose ice cream made with liquid nitrogen at a new steampunk ice cream store near our house. Good call!
Kat chose Spaghetti Factory, and we had good food, but THE WORST service ever. The kids were very patient. Here they are keeping themselves busy by making fun of my Spotify playlist. Stinkers.
Since the service was so bad, we never got dessert, so Kat got to get Boba at her favorite place Ding Tea the next day. Happy girl!
