We ate dinner at a crazy place called Ninja New York. It's set up to look like an underground Japanese village, and the ninja waiters are sneaky and jump out at you, suddenly swing open your shoji sliding doors, or bang the scroll menu on the table. It keeps you on your toes!
Here's me opening the scroll menu...
And Tommy utilizing the cool ninja mask and throwing star that came with our kids' drinks.
And they lit up!
Pango the pangolin got to get in on the fun too.
Most of the food came with some crazy presentation, like this light-up dry ice on Mom & Dad's sushi plate...
Or this cover for our nuggets and burger...
That released a bunch of smoke when our ninja waiter opened it.
We treated it like an early birthday dinner, so they brought out a cool dessert for me that was on fire!
Then our waiter covered it and told Tommy to give it a ninja strike with his hand...
And it turned into this yummy piece of ninja star-shaped cake!
Magic food is even yummier, and definitely more fun!
Mom may have had some sake and played around with our ninja gear...
And Tommy decided to scare the waiter back, so this is what he looked like when the waiter came back to the table. He got a good laugh from it.
There was another ninja that did magic and card tricks. We loved it!
I've had some fun birthday dinners in San Diego, Hawaii, and Huntington Beach, but Ninja New York was the best!
