The Met

After reading The Kane Chronicles series on Egyptian Mythology, Tommy and I were really excited to go The Met! Our first stop was Cleopatra's Needle just in back of The Met in Central Park.
We REALLY got into the Egyptian art exhibit.
Tommy was the most excited of any of us to see all the artifacts, and ran from exhibit to exhibit saying who each god was and what they were doing.
We could even read a few of the hieroglyphics!

We may have fit right in in ancient Egypt.

Tommy even has his own protector plush god, a little Anubis.
This full tomb was pretty cool...

But we couldn't spend all our time in the Egyptian wing. There were Greek gods to see! We were glad that Dad and Tommy didn't fully commit to replicating Perseus' beheading of Medusa, and kept their heads AND clothes on.
Dad liked the armor and weapons exhibit...
And I liked it too because I found the Indian powder horn I did a report on in 5th grade.

We saw some really cool stuff at The Met and had a fun time...
And greatly enjoyed the air conditioning.
