Magic Show at the Library

We went to a super cool magic show at the library. We wore our Harry Potter robes to get the full magical effect. The magician was voted the best parlor magician by the Magic Castle, and his tricks were pretty cool.
He pulled a live bunny our of a hat!
And made 3 baby chicks appear under 3 cups!
We got to pet his bunny, Snowball, after the show.

And checked out a library book on magic.

Curious Confections with Christine McConnell

There's a new show on Netflix with baking and muppet monsters. In other words, stuff both Tommy and I like!
We attempted the chocolate-covered peanut butter pretzel bone cookies she made. Here they are before we dipped them...
And after.
They're super sugary, a little bit scary, and pretty yummy.

Earrings (sort of)

I got new earring! Well, they're clip-ons, but they're still fun!

Izzy's Birthday at Skyzone

We had a great time at Skyzone for our neighbor Izzy's party. We rode the zipline, played a game called Wipeout where we had to jump over or go under a big moving padded bar, and we climbed the warped wall, just like in Ultimate Beastmaster and American Ninja Warrior!

Bath Bomb Chemistry Set

I got a bath bomb chemistry set for my birthday, and have had fun making some in cool shapes and colors. Bonus for Mom: now I don't argue about getting clean!

Tommy's Soccer and Snuggling

Tommy's new soccer pictures with his team, The Fortnites, turned out great!
He also took this cute picture snuggling Chewy...
And he's a good snuggler for his toys Yeti and Squatchy too.

Dad's Teddy Bear

Nana brought a bunch of Dad's old stuff down, and he found his old teddy bear (covered in old dance boutonnieres).
Mom says it's the stuff nightmares are made of, but she also keeps her old blankie in a preserving jar, so she's not one to talk.
However, this may explain a lot about the state of Lamby and Teddy.

Camperall Campfire

At that night's campfire each den did a skit. Ours was called "Skittles"...
You can watch it here, along with us carrying Bella in the stretcher during competition, and doing our spirit cheer.

They also announced the winners of all the competitions at the campfire. We took first place in a memory challenge called "Kim's Game". Yay!
After giggling until midnight (when Mom yelled at us to be quiet) we had breakfast, cleaned up, and packed up camp.
Here are both Arrow of Light dens from Pack 290, the Pink Fluffy Dragicorns and the Zombie Burgers.
L to R - Graeme, Devlin, Wil, Kaywan, Kira, Kade, Tiana, Emily, Ally, Kat, Olivia, Bella
Mr. Weaver and Mom in the back
I can't wait until our next Scouts camping adventure, but before then I definitely need to catch up on some sleep (here's me the next day).

Camperall Events

At the beginning of the day we had a spirit rally...
We got to show off our flag and our cheer!

We were not quiet. :)
Next we took on fire building...

But even though got it lit and all hugged each other to form a windbreak, it didn't burn high enough.
We earned 49/50 at our flag ceremony demonstration with me as our denner (leader).

We traded off reading the directions at each station...
Here I am at the knot tying relay...
We did great and got them all as a team!
We hadn't had a chance to prepare much for the first aid challenge, but Kira's dad was a navy seal medic, so he showed us how to make a stretcher...
And we ended up getting one of the fastest times at that competition!
Here's our score sheet, though we're still not sure what some of those scores mean.
But we do know we did a great job and were serious competitors at each event!
L to R: Phoebe, Tiana, Ally, Bella, May, Olivia, Kade, Kat, Ava, Kira

Camperall 2018

All the Arrow of Light Scouts from my Pack and other Packs throughout the district competed at a campout last weekend called Camperall.
We set up a campsite, and put up our Pink Fluffy Dragicorns flag.
We wore our pink shirts, even though it rained most the day, and kept our spirits up (and silly)!
L to R: May, Phoebe, Olivia, Ally, Ava, Kade, Tiana, Kat, Bella, Kira

Mom wore her shirt too to support us.
We cooked and ate lunch, dinner...
And s'mores for dessert, of course.
