Fall Sports Championships

I had my volleyball championship tournament this weekend. We beat the first team, but lost by a few points in the 3rd set of the final game. But I played really well! Mom didn't take too many pics or videos, but here's one of me bumping it deep over the net to score a point.
2nd place overall for the Angry Birds!
KJ, Kat, Arianna, Maddy, Izzy
Tommy had his last game too, and a pizza party afterwards. He had a really fun year with The Flash this year. What a bunch of goofballs! This was the most normal Mom could get them to be for a photo. She didn't even notice the quarters on Everett's eyes! Ha ha!
Coach Jason, Stephen, Tommy, Braxston, Braden, Carter, Everett, Nieko, Coach Francesco, Guiseppe
Tommy won an award from his coach for best sportsmanship! Coach said he always had a smile and good attitude on the field. Way to go, Tommy!

Veteran's Day Assembly

The member's of Tommy's Cub Scout den who go to Peterson and a Girl Scout Troop got to do the flag ceremony at the school's Veteran's Day Assembly.
They carried the state flag, while the Girl Scouts carried the US flag.
Here they are walking it up through the crowd.
They got to sit up at the front in front of the whole audience, and Mom said they were good little scouts and on their best behavior.
Then they carried the flag off for the closing ceremony.
Good job, Scouts!

K-9 Officer

Tommy's Cub Scout den got a visit from a police officer and his K-9 partner, Marco. He told us a lot about the work they do, and we got to pat Marco and watch him follow some of his commands.

Back Row L-R: Luke H, Luke F, Remy, Ryan, Zach, Owen, Tommy
Front Row: Lucas, Kyle, Officer Wilson and Marco, Liam
Afterwards, our den leader Amy, who is a chemistry teacher, made us ice cream using liquid nitrogen. So cool!

Hotel Life

Termites suck, and they are eating our house. So we had to move out for 2 nights to have it fumigated. Here's our circus tent!
Staying in the hotel was ok. I really liked the breakfast buffet, but sometimes we had to get creative with ways to spend our time, since it wasn't a very big room for 4 people. We checked out the fitness center...

And got creative with our surroundings.
We were all glad to get back home, and soooo glad to see Chewy again!
Good boy, Chewy!

Date Night with Mom

While the boys were away Mom and I got to play! We got pedicures...
Went to a movie, did a little shopping...
And went out for a yummy Italian dinner at Bascilico's. I said this is what Tommy would order (antipasti) because he doesn't like pasta. Apparently that's not what it means.
Our table had a little drawer I could sweep my bread crumbs into!
Mmmmmm....fettuccine alfredo!
Good Mom/Daughter bonding time.

Cub Scout Adventure Camp

Tommy and Dad went to Cub Scout Adventure Camp in Mission Viejo last weekend for a night of camping and outdoor fun.
Tommy got his fishing adventure pin, even though no one caught anything.

He also got his Whittling Chip! Yup, that's a pocketknife he's holding.
And he did some shooting. He and dad shot BB guns...
And slingshots.

They pitched a tent, cooked dinner with their buddies Owen, Zack, and Ryan, play fought with sticks they whittled, and made weird faces to crack each other up.
It was a little cold in the tent...
But a little snuggling kept them warm.
Happy campers!

School Pictures, 3rd and 6th Grade

Halloween 2019

We brought pumpkin muffins and guacamole and chips to the annual neighborhood Halloween potluck. We were pretty proud of our the presentation.
Tommy was Godzilla...

I was Pusheenicorn...
Flying Pusheenicorn!
What a nice smile from Tommy...
Dad was Miles Morales from "Into the Spider-Verse"...
He even wore my Dwyer gym shorts as part of his costume!
And Mom was Spider-Gwen.

Dad even had some webs he shot out to snare Godzilla....
And the big furry Chewy-Beast!
The neighborhood potluck was fun...
And then we were all ready for Trick-or-Treating once the sun went down.
Missy and Leyton, Ally, Riley, Callie, Cami, Avery, Tommy, Kat, Pippi, Addi, Madison, Madison's friend, Briggs, Allivia

I went with my friend Kayla...
Tommy handed out some candy, and then went half the neighborhood with Mom...
Then he came back to do the rest of the neighborhood with Dad. He decided to put on his button-down shirt to become the Lizard Man so he could attack Spider-Man.
Happy Halloween!
