Playdate at the Spectrum

We met the Dombeks and Kowalewskys at the Irvine Spectrum for some fun.  We played in the fountain, then took a little stroll (Kara and I hand in hand)...

Until Tommy saw a train, and talked everybody into taking a ride.
(L to R) Kara, Robby, Kim, Leslie (way behind her), Lizzy, and me

OK, maybe we all wanted to to take a ride.  Here's Tommy giving his best and often used Popeye smile.

And one of the girls.

We also went up on the big, high ferris wheel.  Mom got to ride with Popeye.

And we ended the adventure on the merry-go-round.  I chose the speedy and majestic white tiger...

And Tommy thought he could catch me on his equally majestic ostrich (?).  Good luck, little brother!

Pool Party

We had fun at our friends CJ and Kate's house last weekend for their pool party.  We don't have any pictures from in the pool, because we were all too busy having fun and jumping off the diving board.  But we also had fun playing around. Here are Tommy and Henry obsessing over the train table...

While Robby, Miles, and I had fun bouncing in their bounce house.

Having silly friends is fun.

Dombeks and the Reptile Zoo

We brought the Dombeks to our super cool Reptile Zoo.

There's always something new and cool for us going on there.  This time we got to watch them feed the alligators (this one ate 3 chickens!) and the chameleons.

I, of course, had to hold my favorite crested gecko, Charlie.

And this was the first time Tommy got to hold him on his own.

Kara wasn't so sure, but Avery wanted to pet him...

And Auntie Leslie got to hold him.

I also held a ball python named "Beauty".  Avery liked petting her, too.

She seemed very comfy on my lap.

Tommy told us he wanted to set this one free.  We didn't end up doing that, but we did feed some veggies to the giant tortoises.  Another successful visit!

Tons of Fun with the Dombeks

All the Dombeks came up to play on Friday.  Even Stella!  Chewy and Stella had good tugging fun, while Tommy giggled at them and chased them.

Kara and I had silly time in the back yard while Tommy took a nap...

And let Avery play play-doh with us when she woke up.

After a trip to the Reptile Zoo (pictures pending) and the pool, we grilled some burgers and roasted some marshmallows in the fire pit.  S'mores were a big hit with everyone!

Good, but just a bit messy.  Right, Avery?

The boys had some good bonding time by the fire pit...

And we took full charge of marshmallow roasting (and eating).  Yum!

Chewy is My Muse

Lately I've been drawing quite a few pictures of Chewy and me.  I love that poodle!  Here are 2 recent ones.

Kyle's Birthday Party

We had cousin Kyle's birthday party at our house this weekend.  All the Morgans came over to play, and Nana brought a slip-n-slide!

It was a big hit with everyone!

Tommy especially liked drinking from it. Ewwwww...

We had so much fun!

Tommy was pretty tired after all that sliding, so Daddy cleaned him up, gave him some tickles, and put him down for a nap.

Once I was done sliding, I told everyone I was going upstairs to do a "surfer change" (too many trips to the beach with Mom).  Here's what I came up with.
After Kyle blew out all 4 candles on his birthday cake, and sang happy birthday to himself alone with us, he opened his presents, and this cool bike was the last one!

Cruisin' cousins!

Happy 4th Birthday, Kyle!

Fire Station Tour

Mom scheduled a tour of our local fire station for my friends and me.

Here I am with Isabella, ready to volunteer!
We got to see their dorms, and were all amazed by the murphy bed that folded out of the wall.
We also saw their relaxing TV room.  They said they can barely ever get a seat in there because the cops are always coming over and using it.

Comfy!

We got to see the fire engine in the garage...

And even got to sit in it!

Zach showed us how the EKG machine worked.

And even hooked me up to it!  He said I had a strong heart beat, and I even got a print-out of my heart rhythm, looking like a bumpy line.

He also showed us the oxygen tanks they wear...

And let us try on his coat...

And boots!

This fire station is also equipped for hazardous materials handling.  All of us kept shaking the hands of this haz-mat suit.

We also got to see the inside of the fire ambulance.

I'm so glad my friends got to come with!  On the left is my friend Sophia from school and her brother Travis, that's Tommy in the middle, and Isabella and me on the right.

Here Ilana joined the picture, but no one could really get their act together except for Sophia.
Thanks, Brian and Zach!  We had a great time on our fire station tour!  And so did our mommies! :)
