No School!

We went to Dave & Busters on our first day off school for break.

Tommy warmed up under the hand dryer...
And I spent some of my saved money on a new Build-a-Bear! Meet Sofie!

The Toenail Fairy?

Tommy hurt his toe and lost the toenail. Feeling optimistic, he put the toenail in his tooth fairy box.
Here's what he got back:
Dad told him that fake tooth was really made of toe jam, not play doh. Gross!

Scouts Beach Cleanup and Playdate

We had a beach cleanup with Scouts...
And Tiana and I wore our Scout shirts to play and make slime at our house.

Thanksgiving Celebrations at School

For Thanksgiving Tommy's class made Stone Soup after a story they were reading. Mom got to come help out...
And was very impressed with Tommy's ability to pick his nose with his lollipop stick on the way home.
The next day was the annual Dudes and Donuts event, so we got to bring Dad to school for a yummy donut breakfast.
Later that day we had a Thanksgiving party in my class. Some students from my class were selected to recite poems from an earlier public speaking assignment, and I was super excited to be one of them! Here I am reciting "The Mummy" by Marilyn Singer:
Everyone brought a traditional food for our Thanksgiving feast, and I brought krumkake!  Everyone liked it, it was all gone by the end. Now we're ready for Thanksgiving break!

5th Grade Mystery Event

The 5th grade had a mystery event where we had to figure out this "crime scene" using forensic science and deductive reasoning.
We had to take detailed notes...

And conduct experiments.
This was my group, we were good detectives.
.And Mom helped out at the chromatography station.

Cooking and Baking

I went to my friend Kade's birthday party. Her mom's a chef, and we got to decorate cupcakes and play games.
Here are my creations!
Tommy spent the day baking with Mom and wearing this super long apron.
Nailed it!

Pumpkin Carving

Our neighbor had her annual pumpkin carving party, and I carved my pumpkin all on my own this year.
Tommy choose to bounce and goof around after giving strict carving instructions to Mom.

They turned out pretty good!
Mine is a self-portrait...
Mom's is the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter...
Dad's is a really cool Spider-Man...
And Tommy's is a Minecraft Creeper.

Now we're Halloween Ready!

Halloween 2018

We went as characters from Super Mario Bros this year.
Mom was Yoshi, I was Super Mario, Tommy was Bowser, Dad was Luigi...

And Chewy was a Super Star.
Action pose!

Mom especially liked her Yoshi's tongue prop...

And used it every chance she got.
We went to the neighbor's house for a potluck...
And all took some pictures before we headed out to Trick-or-Treat.
Happy Halloween!

We got tons of candy, and some Kingman kids made it longer into the night than others.
