Tommy's Spring Virtual Piano Recital

Tommy had his virtual spring piano recital last week. Fancy on the top, sweatpants on the bottom.
Grandpa and Grandma and Nana all got to be on the Zoom call to watch. He played "Royal March of the Lion".

2 minutes after the call was done this happened.
There's only so much  fancy non-wiggle time this boy can take.

First Visit with Our Puppy-to-Be!

Our puppy-to-be was born! Poor mama dog had 13 babies!
So cute!
We got to go visit them at 2 weeks old. They live up in Wrightwood, so we did a little hiking before the visit.
Here they are!
They're so little! We called this one Curly...

Kat liked holding "Grunty"

The this one was "Cuddly". He got tuckered out pretty quickly.
These are the 3 boys we're choosing between. We'll watch their personalities develop as they get older through videos from the breeder, and then we'll go visit one more time when they're a few more weeks old to make our final decision.
We're so excited for puppy snuggles!

Backyard Tropical

We need a vacation from our house, but can't really go anywhere. So Mom and Dad decided to make things tropical and have been making mai tais and piƱa coladas. Don't worry, ours are alcohol free.

We also decided to do some outdoor dining by biking to Rubios with our soccer chairs, ordering to go, and eating in the courtyard. Not too shabby!

One night we picked up pizza and took it to the big park by the library. After we ate we played some frisbee. We all need a little work on our skills, but we had fun!

Lazy Quarantine Days

Just hanging around the house, bugging each other...
Swinging...
And watching TV. Sadie spent the weekend with us for some puppy snuggle time.
It was her birthday while she was here, so we made her a hat, which she didn't love...
And Katherine baked her a doggy cake, which she DID love. Look at that tongue!
Very ready to eat.
After she left we had to snuggle with our stuffed critters instead.
We went to our favorite donut shop for National Donut Day...
And gave Kat's room a big-kid makeover.
Look how uncluttered that book shelf is! Mom and Dad may be more happy than Kat!

Backyard Critters

Katherine is the squirrel whisperer. They let her get so close since she built them this fancy bench.

Not to be outdone, Tommy (and Dad) built this squirrel box to hang on the tree. They love it too!
One of the little hummingbirds left the nest, and we spotted him fluttering around in the grass. So cute!
And there are TONS of wooly caterpillars up on the trails by our house. We love them!
