We went hunting for our Christmas tree this weekend.
True, we did the hunting in a parking lot, but it still counts.
Our tradition is to pick the tree without unwrapping it, adding the element of surprise (and bare tree section concealing) when we get home.
Tommy and I asked if we could take this home too, but for some reason our request was denied.
Once we chose our tree, I helped Daddy push it to the car...
And Tommy guarded it while we paid.
We each got to pick out a new ornament this year. I originally picked a Cinderella one, but it broke when I took it to school (oops). But I am much happier with my new choice anyway: a monkey ballerina.
Tommy chose this Lightning McQueen one from the movie "Cars".
After Tommy went to bed, I helped Mom finish decorating the tree...
Complete with reindeer horns.
We had fun...
A few giggles...
And some celebratory sparkling apple cider.
It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!
