Karate Showcase

We had our karate showcase last weekend.  Nana came down to cheer for us.

I had on my serious face...

And I think this is Tommy's serious face.  

Again, me: Serious.

Tommy:  Not so much. 

But once things got started we both had our game faces on.  



Tommy demonstrated some moves and some sparring with one of the black belts, and I performed my first kata and also did some sparring.  We also both broke a board!  




Tommy was so proud of me after my kata! 

He's a pretty nice brother, though I'm not sure this makes either of us look tough.  

At the end we were each awarded a medal for our improvement.

PS:  Tommy was upgraded to white belt, yellow stripe at his next lesson.  Despite the look on his face here, he was THRILLED and very proud!
