Symphony in Space

We went to see the Pacific Symphony's kids' event "Symphony in Space" last weekend.  We knew they'd be playing music from Holst's "The Planets" while showing NASA pictures and footage, and that they would play a song or 2 from Star Wars, which we were excited about.  We didn't know that before the show they would have TONS of Star Wars characters for us to meet.
To say we were excited is an understatement.  So many stormtroopers!
Tommy and Mommy being tough with the First Order TIE Fighter Pilot and biker scout...
Tommy and an Imperial Guard...
And with Boba Fett...
Mom even had to get an up-close and personal picture with Boba Fett.
Here's a Dark Side family portrait. Tommy's grin while looking at Darth Vader is the best.

And we both loved R2D2.
And Dad loved leaning on him.
We had a ton of fun!
And did a few space crafts too.

Then it was time for the show inside the beautiful Segerstrom Concert Hall.
During the performance, they projected a few works of art that kids had sent in.  They put up about 20 pictures, and my alien drawing was one of them!
"Hello, Fellow Creature"
What a fun time!
