Snowboarding in Utah

The kids got all bundled up for their first snowboarding adventure!
We hooked them up with some gear...
And then put them in a snowboarding lesson while we went up the mountain to see if we still remembered how to snowboard.
Good news: we did! Mom face-planted once, but other than that we looked pretty good!
Except for the fact that Dad's beard didn't quite fit in his neck gaiter.
The kids had a rough first day, but persevered...

And went up the "magic carpet" to take on the bunny hill with us a few times.
Tommy was honestly more preoccupied with making snowballs than taking runs.
The second day we dropped the kids at a lesson and took on the other side of the mountain, much of which was black diamonds, which we did not touch.
By the time we got back, the kids had improved and were ready to take on the real lifts.

They both did great! Each only fell once on their way down.
Snowboarders!

After some refreshments in the lodge it was time for pizza and movies at the condo.
Here are some videos of the kids, from their first lesson to coming down the hill on their own!
The last day we did some tubing, and then hit the road back to Huntington Beach to see our dog. Until next time, Brian Head!
