Tommy was so excited to swim the pier with his Jr Lifeguards City program. He couldn't wait to beat Mom's time, and Mom couldn't wait to watch him from the pier with all the other parents.
That's him in the middle in the faded light blue rash guard.
Here's a view after they rounded the end of the pier. It's far! About 1/2 mile.
Here's a video of his group warming up with jumping jacks, then running in to start the race, swimming with the pack, and finishing out the race, passing 2 kids while running the last feet in. We're so proud of him! And he beat Mom's time by 4 minutes!
