Pumpkin Patch, Part 1

We took our first trip to the Tanaka Farms pumpkin patch last weekend.  It was quite a place!

Before we could do any actual pumpkin hunting, we had to go on the hayride.

Here's Tommy craning his neck to see the tractor that was pulling us.

And here he is giving the tractor a pat of gratitude.

Next we went inside the fun tent, where they had this mountain of pumpkins for Tommy to climb (which he did)...

And games for big kids like me to play!  I tried pumpkin bowling, and used a mallet to launch a frog onto a lily pad in a pond.  Here I am in action:

Then it was on to the petting zoo.  Tommy loved the goats, and tried to feed all the baby ones hay.

I liked the baby ones too.  The big ones were a little much for me.

Tommy approached every animal like this.  He squatted down so he was face to face, said "Hi, goat" (or sheep or pig or cow), then patted it on the head before squealing and running on to the next animal.  I think it's safe to say he had fun.

My favorite was getting to pat the baby pigs.

We all thought it was funny that they wagged their tails back and forth the whole time we were patting them, just like Chewy does!
