First Day of Kindergarten

 I was SOOOO ready for my first day of kindergarten!  I picked out my outfit, packed my backpack...

And graciously posed with my little brother...

And Mom. 

Daddy came with us on our walk to school since it was a special day.  I'm a big kid, so I wanted to walk the whole way myself (no stroller), and refused to let anyone help me with my backpack. 


I lined up with my class, kissed and hugged everyone goodbye, then ran in excitedly, with a big smile and no hesitation.   

Mom mostly held it together, though I think I saw her eyes get a little watery.  And even though I'm sure Tommy missed me, he was happy to go to the coffee social with Mom afterward and wolf down croissants and muffins.  

Here are some drawings I did on my first day of school.  I told Mom my favorite part of the day was meeting my new friend, Kaitalan.  We both have twinkle toes shoes, are 5 years old, and our favorite princess is Ariel.  We were meant to be friends!

I had fun and was excited to go back the next day.  First day of school?
