Legos at the Discovery Science Center

We went to the Lego Castle Adventure at the Discovery Science Center this weekend.  They had lots of cool Lego building sites, perfect for Lego maniacs like me...

And Tommy.....and Daddy....

And Mommy too (that's her castle on the right).

They also had a Lego jousting area...

And huge Lego blocks...

Perfect for constructing forts...

And then destroying them Godzilla-style.

Tommy LOVED the Lego train exhibit.  It was huge!

They also had a cool Leonardo da Vinci exhibit.  I read about him in one of my Magic Tree House books.  Here I am making my best attempt at a drawing of the Mona Lisa.

We also got to test out some of da Vinci's inventions and experimental models.

We spent some time in the color-blending spotlights...
And Tommy took a turn behind the wheel of a zamboni before we went outside to the rocket launch exhibit.  Here we are watching the countdown...

Blast off!

After that we went on a dinosaur hunt in the fossil dig site.

We did such a good job that we earned a megalodon fossil chip, and can try for a different one on our next visit.  I decided to wear mine home like a pirate, and of course Tommy did too.
