Statue of Liberty

Time for a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty!
We got some great views of Manhattan from New York Harbor.

 There she is!
 She's not small.
We climbed up to the top of the pedestal for more cool views.

Then went back down for more pictures.

Lady Liberty pose!

 Tommy's crushing her head.
In the museum we found a replica of her foot...
 The old torch...
And a program where you could upload a pic with your home country and it would appear on a huge screen. Yup, not taking it too seriously, that's us.
 Still goofing off...
But we also completed the junior park ranger pamphlet, so we got sworn in as honorary rangers, and even got a badge!
Next we took the ferry over to Ellis Island. Dad says he didn't want his neck to burn, but Mom thinks he was just reliving the 80's.
Tommy snuggled with Anubis...
And we took in the sights.
We liked the cultural shops at Ellis Island, especially this one with Italian masks.

Thanks for the fun, Lady Liberty!
