Second Week of Quarantine

Well, we're officially trapped in the house most of the time. We've been getting out for walks and bike rides, but no more basketball or hand ball at the park, and no more hikes through Bolsa Chica or down at the beach. It's all closed now. So we've had to get a bit creative with our time at home. Dad decided to make tortillas from scratch...
And they turned out sooooo good...
And made the yummiest chicken quesadillas EVER!
I tried a new adventure in baking, using fondant and some different techniques to make geode cupcakes, and even made the cupcakes and frosting from scratch!
They turned out really cool looking...
 And were yummy too!
We've done a few online art lessons. This one was with chalk pastels...
And this was just a picture we saw online and decided to recreate.
We've also had to embrace technology to interact with anyone outside our house. Tommy had a virtual piano lesson with his teacher...
And played virtual Battleship with his friend Owen.
But mostly we get on Messenger Kids, FaceTime, Zoom, or HouseParty and goon around with our friends. Not that you can tell, but that's me, Emily, and Sarah.
I like this one of Emily and me.
Here's Tommy and his friend Ryan.
This whole quarantine thing has really aged him, don't you think?
